Lawyer Seo company offers medical marijuana to children in US
Seo, the company that helps people access legal medical marijuana in the US, has launched a new service in partnership with a Washington, DC-based medical marijuana provider to offer the drug to children.
The Washington State Department of Health, which oversees the state’s medical marijuana program, told Reuters that the service is available to children under the age of 12, as well as adults.
It is unclear if the service will be available to all children.
The new service, called Legal Medical Marijuana, is available in Washington, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Oregon, according to the company’s website.
Legal Medical Marijuana also announced a partnership with the National Center for Children’s and Families to develop and deliver a clinical trial for the drug for children in the United States, according the company.
“We want to provide a safe, legal, and accessible pathway for children and their families to access and use medical marijuana for their treatment,” Seo’s Chief Executive Officer, David L. Baskin, told Bloomberg in an email.
According to Reuters, the US Department of Justice has asked a federal judge to block the launch of the service.
In an email, a spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia confirmed that a lawsuit was pending.
The US attorney’s office in Washington DC has previously declined to comment on the launch, saying that the matter is currently under review.
Sega has said that it supports the expansion of legal marijuana to minors, but that its plans to do so are contingent on a number of factors, including ensuring a reliable supply of marijuana, which has been a challenge in the current legal marijuana market.
As Bloomberg reports, Seo is an entity formed by two former cannabis entrepreneurs, James L. Seo and Mark D. Seotel.
After Seo started to cultivate marijuana as a sideline hobby, he started a company in 2008 to develop a new form of marijuana oil called CBD, which is derived from hemp.
That company was later acquired by SEGA in 2013.
During his tenure with Seo Enterprises, Seotels first company, Cannabis Crop and Cultivator, was acquired by Seoteland Inc. and then sold to Seotela Corporation in 2014.
Seotels son, James, founded his own company, Cannatonic, which produces cannabis oils.
